1. Job Overview The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue expansion within a designated geographic area. This role will involve developing and executing sales strategies to achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management and a proven track record of success. 2. Key Responsibilities * Develop and implement effective sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base in the designated area * Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers to identify new business opportunities * Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay informed about market trends and competitor activity * Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure sales targets are met * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product, to align sales strategies with business objectives * Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales strategies * Identify and mitigate sales risks, and develop contingency plans to address potential sales shortfalls 3. Required Skills * Technical skills: sales forecasting, CRM software, sales analytics, and microsoft office * Soft skills: excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders * Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and coach sales teams to achieve sales targets * Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and develop effective sales strategies 4. Qualifications & Experience * Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. sales, marketing, business administration) * Minimum 5-7 years of experience in sales management, with a proven track record of sales success and team leadership * Experience in managing sales teams and developing sales strategies to achieve business objectives 5. Preferred Skills * Experience in using sales enablement tools and technologies, such as sales automation software and data analytics platforms * Knowledge of sales methodologies and frameworks, such as solution selling or consultative selling * Certification in sales management or a related field, such as a MBA or PGDM in sales and marketing.
