Key Responsibilities
Record Management:
Assemble, file, organize, and update patient records (physical and electronic).
Data Integrity:
Verify completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of documentation, identifying and resolving deficiencies.
Confidentiality & Security:
Secure patient data, adhering to privacy laws and hospital policies.
Information Retrieval:
Quickly provide files and data to authorized medical staff.
Coding & Auditing:
Assist with medical coding (diagnoses, procedures) and participate in record audits.
Support & Coordination:
Communicate with clinicians, assist with data entry, and support data management systems.
Reporting:
Prepare summaries and reports for internal reviews, claims, and audits. Essential Skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations. Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and databases. Good communication and interpersonal skills
