Job Description
1. Job Overview The Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial transactions of a 4-star hotel, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management.
2. Key Responsibilities
●Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements
●Manage and reconcile hotel accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
●Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and audit requirements
●Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to optimize hotel operations
●Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions
●Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure timely submission of financial reports
●Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts, invoices, and payments
3. Required Skills
●Technical skills: proficiency in accounting software, such as Tally or SAP, and MS Office, particularly Excel
●Soft skills: strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication skills
4. Qualifications & Experience
●Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
●Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in the hospitality industry
●Knowledge of Indian tax laws and regulations, including GST and income tax
5. Preferred Skills
●Certification in accounting, such as CA or ICWA, is an added advantage
●Experience with hotel management software, such as Property Management Systems (PMS) or Hotel Operating Systems (HOS)
●Familiarity with financial reporting and analysis tools, such as budgeting and forecasting software
